Book Summary

An Interpretive
Textual Summary
As we have seen, a correct and accurate interpretation the Seventy Weeks prophecy in Dan 9:24-27 greatly depended on an accurate translation of the text itself. This was achieved by simply translating the key Hebrew expression literally and then taking into consideration the relationships that exist between words within a sentence as dictated by the rules of Hebrew Syntax. Then the accuracy of these translation was verified with their particular historical fulfillment. The following footnoted translation of Dan 9:24-27 serves as a textual summary for each prophetic statement in the prophecy. The references for these translations and their historical fulfillment has been given in the notes.
